Pulling Back the Curtain on Hollywood One Real Conversation at a Time
For the dreamers, doers, and disruptors of the entertainment industry, especially the women who are building careers in spaces that weren’t built for them.
The entertainment industry loves a highlight reel.
But behind every headline, every “overnight success,” there’s a real story: the messy middle, the burnout, the resilience, and the human being behind the credits.
That’s where I come in.
I’m Carolina Groppa, an Emmy-nominated producer, speaker, and the host of Angle on Producers. This podcast dives beneath the surface of Hollywood to reveal what it actually takes to build a creative career today.
Through candid conversations with the people shaping culture—from producers behind the scenes to household names—I’m bringing transparency, humor, and heart to an industry built on illusion.
Because the truth is: no one gets here alone.
If you’ve ever felt like an outsider in an industry that runs on access and mystery, welcome.
If you’re navigating ambition, motherhood, or burnout while trying to make something that matters, this space was made for you.
I created Angle on Producers because I wanted to hear the conversations that weren’t being had:
about power and privilege, about what happens when the hustle stops feeling good, and about what it means to lead with both creativity and conscience.
This isn’t Hollywood PR talk. It’s the real, unfiltered, “how the hell do we keep going?” talk.
Beyond the mic, I’m a producer with over a decade in the trenches of film, docs, and commercials.
I’ve brought stories to life that have premiered on networks and at festivals worldwide, and my work has earned an Emmy nomination along the way.
But what I’m most proud of are the conversations that have come from this work: creatives finding clarity in their careers, women finding their voices in rooms they were told not to enter, and emerging filmmakers realizing they’re not behind, they’re just building their own path.
My career has taken me from indie sets to studio boardrooms, from moderating panels at Cannes to hosting Angle on Producers, a show that’s been featured in Variety and beloved across the entertainment industry for its unfiltered look into what it takes to “make it” in the industry.
And now, through speaking, workshops, and intimate industry gatherings, I’m creating spaces where honest conversations replace gatekeeping and where connection is currency.
When I’m not on set or behind the mic, you’ll probably find me chasing my toddler, discovering a new indie film, or daydreaming about the next big conversation I can’t wait to bring to life.
