GreenSlate and Circus were thrilled to host "Producing the Vision: Balancing Artistry and Efficiency," a packed-house panel at Luma where the producing team behind Derek Cianfrance’s Roofman, starring Channing Tatum and Kirsten Dunst, pulled back the curtain on what it really takes to bring ambitious stories to life.

I moderated this illuminating chat with producers Duncan Montgomery, Alex Orlovsky, Lynette Howell Taylor (Former Guest!), and Jamie Patricof.

During our chat, they got real about the balancing act between artistry and efficiency. Sharing amazing advice for new producers—from their years of collaboration to the behind-the-scenes challenges of making Roofman—the audience got an unfiltered look at how producers champion both story and director, while navigating the financial and logistical realities of filmmaking.
